Development Roadmap - The Next 30 Days

Phase 1: Vendor Portal Development

We're creating a secure portal where vendors can register and provide their product information and actual tariff rates. This system will:

Allow vendors to add their vendor ID to our system
Enable setup of product ID delineators specific to each vendor
Provide a simple interface for uploading tariff information for specific products
Include validation tools to ensure data accuracy

Phase 2: API Implementation

Once the vendor portal is established, we'll implement a robust API system that:

Automatically detects vendor and product IDs from retail URLs
Makes real-time lookups to our database for actual tariff information
Provides authenticated access for vendors to update their data
Includes fallback to our standard calculation when specific data isn't available

Phase 3: Enhanced Consumer Extension

The final phase will integrate the API with an enhanced version of our browser extension:

Automatically detect vendor and product information while browsing
Display vendor-provided tariff information when available
Show comparative pricing across multiple retailers
Include historical tariff data to show changes over time
